Sunday, November 2 at the Purnell's
6pm as usual
Directions to the Purnells on the right side of this page.
Thanks to everyone who came and ate and donated to the Peru Chicken and Dumplings Fundraiser. We gave about $200.
Here is a note to tell you what we were a part of that night.
They served around 400 dinners and raised$3,200, which will be allotted as follows: $500 to a medical mission from Delmarva to Peru$500 toward a four-day marriage conference in Peru for families in trouble, which will teach 500 couples$500 to an AIDS clinic for mothers and children in northern Peru$200 for hand tools for a church-sponsored vo-tech center in Los Organos$1,500 to provide Christmas for 1,040 children in five Peruvian villagesplus 50 baskets of food for single mothers in previous years, manychildren and their parents have accepted Christ during these Christmascelebrations and all the other outreaches The amount raised by this year's Peru Dinner is roughly equivalent to$100,000 worth of services in Peru. Do the math and you can see that people were very generous! At five dollarsa plate, far more money came in than for the sale of chicken 'n' dumplingplatters. It was from additional donations and sales of items in the BeautyCorner.

Football, and a devotion around the fire. Pastor Greg spoke on recognizing God in our every day life.
We also decided to do a mission trip in 2009. More info to come after we get a chance to do some research. But you might want to start saving.
Celebrity chef, Brian Tustin made a delicious breakfast. With lots of help from Jordan Palmer.
Wow! These guys are great under pressure as we yell out orders and they take them with a smile and a joke.
(Brian, i can't wait for you to open your restaurant!!!)
Troy and Lauralee worked soooooooooo hard. These people are incredible!
oh yeah, and i can't forget Austin. Thank you guys sooo soooo sooo much.

September 7 Mini Golf at 6pm as usual

We met at the Garden of Eden in Ocean City on 20th Street Bayside.
(Right beside Jeff and Sheri's house)
We played mini golf, basketball, football, did a devotion on Jesus multiplying the bread and fishes, and grilled hamburgers in the picnic area.
i think Dustin was the lowest score winner of the night!
And Lauralee and Chris both had a hole in one!
woo hoo...
comment me if any of that was wrong or you want to add to the list of holes in one!
Mini Golf was free for everyone!!!
You can't beat that!
Thank you Jeff and Tina!

Assateague Bonfire 6pm Sunday August 17

Sorry the picture didn't turn out very well.
We reflected on the summer and everyone shared their testimonies of what God has been doing in their lives.
A sad goodbye to our new cop friends (except Dominic who is staying :Hooray!)
Our group will really miss all of our college students who are now away and all of our new favorite cop friends at the OC Beach Patrol!
But, next summer we can look forward to their crazy stories, bagpipes, and kilts.
Let's all make sure and keep in touch through facebook.
Join our group "Fusion" on facebook if you haven't already. There you can easily find your new friends and keep in touch.

The girls and guys split up this night.
August 10, 6pm
The Girls Spa Night was at the Purnell home.
The girls were pampered with all the supplies for do it yourself manicures, pedicures, and massage. Heather did
facials and parrafin wax hand treatments for everyone. It was a little too stormy for the hot tub. Thank You Sarah Olsen and Danielle. the two spa pros worked hard all night providing services at an amazing discount.
And Lauralee and Brittany Purnell worked sooooooooo hard making the most amazing full tea for each girl. They made salad, soup, and the cutest little cucumber, chicken, and apple sandwiches ever. And let's just talk about the desserts. o mi goodness. and the little cheesecakes. Wow! What a treat! Everyone had just the most wonderful time!

So, special thanks, first off to Lauralee and Brittany! Who worked for days on this (and still are returning things and cleaning up). What a HUGE sacrifice they made for us and we appreciate you both more than words can express!!!!!!!!!
Also, thank you to all the behind the scenes people who so kindly shared their own personal items to make this night a success.
Thank you Nancy Britt for the back massager, and parrafin wax heater (that was a HUGE hit)!Thank you Jill Todd for the hand held massager!
Thank you Debbie Morelock for the footbath!
Thank you Robin at Tea by the Sea for loaning us your beautiful china and silver.
And a special thank you to Frank and Betsy Cruice for loaning us an amazing chair massage, hand held massager, and footbath even though it was the day of their Wedding Recommitment Ceremony which was beautiful, by the way!
It was a great send off before our college girls go back to school.
The guys met at White Horse Park in Ocean Pines to play basketball with Pastor Greg and have a short devotion.

Assateague Bonfire
We had a great time despite the massive winds.
25 people, possibly a fusion high. Not sure.
The bonfire was great. Hot Dogs and smores.
We should think abt renaming our group to Fat Fusion.
But delish, all the same...
Maybe we worked it off with the football and volleyball?
Thanks to Devin for sharing.
i'll try to remember to take pix next time.
